and welcome to Buzz's Wharf's web
page. Located in Ma'a laea Bay Harbor, famous for
its "Freight Train" surfing wave and whale
watching, is Buzz's Wharf Restaurant. We are a family
own business, open since 1967, and now in second (Braun
Management Co. took over in 1993) and third generation
hands. Closely linked to Tahiti, it was Eileen Cowan
Macdonald, the owner's mother, who brought the first
cuttings of pink ginger (on our tables) from there
to Hawaii.
We are a family restaurant serving American cuisine
with an Island flavor~ "House Specialty"
Prawns Tahitian, Baked
Papaya, Teriyaki steak to name a few.
Our nightly Fresh Fish Specials will whet your appetite.
Our chef selects only the finest seafood from Maui's
fishermen and then prepares it in a variety of ways
unique to our restaurant.
We are now importing high quality prawns from our
shrimp farm in New Caledonia (located near Australia
and New Zealand). These saltwater prawns are raised
in large ponds with continually circulating water
pumped in from the clear blue

lagoons of New Caledonia's West coast. They're
fed nutritional natural food pellets that contribute
to their wonderful clean, sweet taste. These delicious
Paradise Prawns from Blue Lagoon Farms, in New Caledonia,
are also now being exported to Japan, France and
the US mainland. We serve only Prawns from our farm.
We also serve juicy, mouthwatering Certified Angus
Beef™. All of our beef entrees, steaks and
burgers are Angus Beef.
The Mango Crème Brulée and Baked Papaya
Tahitian are both Taste of Lahaina 1st Prize Dessert
Winners.
Our prices range between
$8.95 to $15.95 for lunch, and $19.95 to $27.95
for dinner. We open at 11:00 to 3:00 p.m. for lunch,
3:00 to 5:00 for Pupus and 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. for
dinner.
Buzz's Wharf is a Maui Landmark, with casual harborview
dining. Come enjoy the bustling harbor and the freshest
seafood this side of Molokini.
